Le Martryr/Le Traitre is my interpretation of the hanged man card in tarot. The hanged man can be interpreted at being stuck at a cross roads or someone stuck between a rock and a hard place. This piece is about being stuck in an abusive relationship, do you martyr yourself and stay, or do you take on the title of traitor and escape with yourself.
